Led by our support team, these walks are open to all adults affected by a brain tumour (including patients, carers and loved ones). You will be taken on a leisurely, low-level walk for around 1-1.5 hours.
We will meet at the entrance to Salts Mill. Please park in Salts Mill Visitors carpark on Salts Mill Road, Saltaire, Shipley BD18 3HU
Parking is FREE.
The main walk itself is a circular walk from Salts Mill over the river and canal through Roberts Park
and along the River Aire, returning along the canal towpath. This is a 2.75 mile flat walk taking
For anyone who wants a short walk they can either walk around Roberts Park (suitable for
wheelchair) or further up the river and return over an earlier bridge.
PLEASE NOTE: the path is very muddy in one small section. Wear wellies or boots you don’t mind getting dirty.
We hope walkers will join us for a drink afterwards. The routes are suitable for beginner walkers. Any members of your party who would prefer not to take part in the walk are welcome to stay at the café with a member of the YBTC team for a chat and a cuppa.
