Wellbeing Walk - Newmillerdam, Wakefield

Led by our support team, these walks are open to all adults affected by a brain tumour (including patients, carers and loved ones).  You will be taken on a leisurely, low-level walk for around 1-1.5 hours.

We will meet at the entrance to Newmillerdam (Near The Dam Pub you will see the War Memorial, we will meet there). Parking is free for first 2 hours (you still need to get a ticket) and there are car parks either side of the lake.

From here we will walk clockwise around the lake. The path round the lake is flat and suitable for all abilities and accessible for motorised scooters, but unsuitable for wheelchairs. Any members of your party who would prefer not to take part in the walk are welcome to stay at the café with a member of the YBTC team for a chat and a cuppa. We have booked tables at The Beuley Cafe, on the main road opposite the lake.

The path can be muddy if there has been rain so PLEASE wear suitable footwear and dress according to the weather.
